by Mr. Kringle

Even though Krismas is a few days away, I can't stop decorating. Everyday our friends are sending, telling, showing us great DIY crafts that I just have to create. This Rosette Krismas Tree is one of them. I love the elegance of it still with the whimsy of Kringle. The hardest part is rolling, but the kids will love getting in on that action.
Merriest wishes, C.Hollyhop

2 rolls red crepe paper streamers
1 18-inch styrofoam cone
Hot glue
-Cut your streamers into lengths approximately 30 inches long. Fold each piece in half lengthwise, and then fold again lengthwise.
-Starting at one end of your folded piece, roll tightly a few times and secure with a small dab of hot glue.
-Take the remaining streamer tail and fold it back (away from the rolled center) at a 45-degree angle. Roll the tail around the center of the flower a quarter turn, and then fold it back again at another 45-degree angle. Secure with a dab of hot glue.
-Continue twisting around the center and folding back at 45-degree angles, securing with hot glue as you work, until you reach the end of your streamer piece. Secure the end of the piece at the back of your rosette with a dab of hot glue.
-Repeat this step to make a bunch of flowers. Secure your completed flowers to your foam cone in rows, starting at the bottom and working your way up. Continue until your entire cone is covered. -Finish your tree with a colorful whimsical bow.
